Yes, the game is free and paid for by ads. After you wake up, you can choose to watch a video once per run to keep dreaming. Between runs an ad may show, at most at every third restart and at least three minutes apart. The game also works without an internet connection; then there are no ads, and no video to keep dreaming.

On the title screen, open Settings → Privacy settings. Google's consent form opens again, and you can accept, decline, or pick individual purposes and partners. Your new choice applies from the next ad.

Whether ads may use your device's advertising identifier is up to iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Under 16, you cannot consent to personalized ads yourself. If you are under 16, the game skips the consent form and the tracking prompt, and Google shows no personalized ads. Your birth year stays on your device; Google only learns whether you are under 16.

Everything the game knows about you is on your device: your best score, your settings, your birth year and your ad consent. Delete the app to remove all of it; after reinstalling, the game starts fresh and asks for your birth year again.

If you restore your device from an iCloud backup, the old data may come back with it.

There is no account, so the score does not sync. It moves along when you transfer your device or restore it from a backup.

Tap the sound button at the top right of the title screen. The game remembers your choice.
